The Postharvest Education Foundation (PEF) is partnering with The Company of Heaven’s “Help Someone Today” Program to launch The Big Giveaway, a community food rescue and distribution event happening during November 2025, in Birmingham, Alabama.
🧺 What’s Happening
Local volunteers are already in action, preparing calendars, planning giveaway sites, collecting food donations, and coordinating food rescue logistics. Together, we are building a network of hope that ensures fresh, healthy food reaches the families who need it most.
💛 How You Can Help
We’ve just launched a fundraising campaign to make this event possible — and 100% of all donations received in October 2025 will directly support the cause.
Your gift will help us:
- Purchase local staple foods in bulk (rice, beans, citrus fruits, potatoes, bread, and more)
- Provide storage and transport for rescued food
- Support free food distribution to families in need in the local community.
